Hats, Hats, and More Hats!

Well, I have a few friends having babies in September and October so I decided to knit a bunch of baby hats! I combined and edited patterns for each of these hats so if you are interested in making something similar, let me know!

I found a new favorite yarn which I used to make all of these hats. It is called the Sassy Skein and I bought it at the Yarn Shoppe and More in Old Overland Park. It comes in fun colors and has a little sheen to it!

Happy Knitting!

Fun Easter Project

I found this link to make baby chicks and bunnies. I started making a chick for Annie's Easter basket. It is a quick and easy pattern and it goes really quick!

The Toasty Topper

The Toasty Topper is a great pattern for kids that like to take their hats off. (My daughter is really good at it!) Plus, it is a hat and scarf all in one. Here is a picture of the Toasty Topper that Ashley made with a link to the pattern.

Play Food

Ashley has been working on play food for an exchange that she is doing. She has been knitting away sets of cherries and corn! Below are pictures of the finished products with links to the patterns!

Booties Booties Booties!

The day after Thanksgiving, I was able to find the greatest book called "Cute Knits for Baby Feet." [http://www.knitpicks.com/books/Cute_Knits_for_Baby_Feet__D31127.html] I had not tried making socks before so I tried making some baby booties for a friend. If you are interested it trying baby booties, I will loan you my book. Here they are!

Scarf and Hat

Ashley and I decided to work on a project together for our friend and neighbor, Sara. We decided to make the Misti Chunky Ribs & Ruffles Scarf and a braided cable hat with a pom pom made from the scraps left over from the scarf. Here are the finished products!

The patterns can be found at the following locations:
